Their pointy hats perched jauntily on their heads, the little magic weavers of The Witches’ Brew cast their undeniable spell upon the audience through their entrancing presentation on September 20 and 21, in the Newton Hall. Over 140 students from four sections of class 3 presented a meticulously executed musical adaptation of the popular children’s story. The entrancing performance included several catchy songs, wonderfully crooned by the two choirs, placed on the left and right of the stage, and provided a stereo phonic effect for the audience. Children sang, as well as, played the instruments, while some of them also enacted characters from the play. Allowing for maximum participation, the main parts were performed by several children in the different scenes from the story.
As always, the special attention to every minute detail was quite evident in the breathtakingly beautiful sets recreated to simulate the forest and market scenes.The dialogue was crisp and loaded with witty one-liner sand the young superstars of Grade 3 were superb in their comic timing, delivering their punch lines with unmistakable flair. Charmingly choreographed and expertly narrated, the production was received with pure admiration and joy by the audience comprising of parents of the children from Class 3.
