    The air was charged with energy and fervour on the final day of the Strawberry Fields High School Football Tournament. The warm day, which rapidly transformed into a mellow and enjoyable evening witnessed the battle for the Cup amidst an enviable audience of cheering children and parents.
    The U-15 match for the third place was won by a tie breaker goal scored by the St. Xavier’s High School team, giving them a win of 2-1. The match for the third place in the U-17 Senior Category was clinched by the team from Vivek High School, Chandigarh, who won by a score of 1-0 against YPS, Mohali.
    Locking horns for the Final matches were the teams from Chitkara International School, Chandigarh and Strawberry Fields High School. The SFHS U-15 team won the Tournament in the Junior Category with a score of 1-0. Close on the heels were the team from Chitkarain the 1st Runners Up position and the team from St. Xavier’s School, Chandigarh as the 2nd Runners Up.
    A close match between the U-17 teams led to a tie followed by extra time and a tie breaker, during which the team from Chitkara on scoring a goal took the score to 3-2 and were declared the winners of the tournament. The home team from SFHS, were declared the 1st Runners Up followed by the team from Vivek High School, who were ranked the 2nd Runners Up team.
    Star player, Viren Goyal of SFHS was awarded the ‘Man of the Tournament’ title in the U-15 category and Ashray Bhardwaj, also from the host school, bagged the title of the ‘Man of the Tournament’ in the U-17 category. The ‘Best Scorer’ trophy was clinched by Divij Pahwa of SFHS. Harshit Rawat of the U-15 team was named the ‘Best Defender’. Bikram Gulati of SFHS was adjudged the ‘Best Goal Keeper’ of the Tournament.
