Traffic Rules Workshop For Junior School

December 18, 2019

“A child who learns about traffic rules and road discipline will grow up to be a law-abiding citizen. The habit of obeying traffic rules teaches a person a sense of responsibility, empathy for others and respecting the other person’s rights,” – The Hindu

Keeping the above objective in mind, The Social welfare department of SFHS spear headed by Rehmat Swani of Grade 11 (Social welfare captain), Saanya Chhabra and Armaan Khanna of Grade 10 (Social Welfare Prefects) conducted a workshop on Traffic Rules for classes 3 and 4 on the 16th and 17th December 2019.

The workshop started with an interactive quiz about their basic knowledge about Safety Rules. This was followed by a power point presentation along with videos emphasizing the importance of following rules for pedestrians and cyclists. Reading and interpreting road signs and basic traffic rules were also shown to enhance their knowledge. Another quiz was conducted towards the end based on what they had learnt through session. The workshop came to an end with an animated poem recitation about safety rules.
