Strawberry Fields High School Model United Nations Conference 2022 commences today.

On the morning of the 19th of August 2022, Strawberry Fields High School ushered in the ninth edition of the Strawberry Fields High School Model United Nations Conference. The next three days promise to be filled with debates, deliberations and energised discussions amongst the over 350 delegates participating from around the world.

The Secretary General – Hiranya Bhushan Gakhar – quoted Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the most esteemed former Prime Minister of India, and Ban Ki-Moon, the former Secretary General of the United Nations to explain the essence of what it is to be a part of the Model United Nations Conference at Strawberry Fields. “Together we can, together we will” is what he said, and there could not have been a more apt saying for the moment, as Gakhar banged the gavel, declaring the SFHS MUN 2022 open. After a brief introduction to the various committees the event opened with a brief address by the Director General, Tanya Gupta.

Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mr. Raghav Chadha, addressed the delegates with words of inspiration speaking about the youth as future leaders who are contending with complex global problems. He provided valuable insights, highlighting the three pillars of politics – honesty, patriotism and humanism.

Aaditya Sharma, the President, introduced the Executive Board and set the tone for the next three days by encouraging and creating a cohesive and lucrative environment for all and wishing them the very best.
