First Aid Awareness Campaign

Umeed: A Community Upliftment Club along with the Social Welfare and Community Service Captains organized a 3 day First – Aid Awareness Campaign for students of classes 5, 6, 7 & 8. It included a webinar on Tuesday, 16th November, to introduce the students to first aid, followed by interactive workshops conducted both offline and online on 17th November (for classes 5 and 6) and 18th November (for classes 7 & 8).

Dr. Ravul Jindal, Director Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Fortis Hospital, was invited to educate the students on the same. These workshops trained the students on carrying out basic first aid procedures with the help of live demonstrations. The webinar educated the students on the causes and effects of common injuries like cuts, mosquito bites, nosebleeds, fractures, sprains, burns etc. The workshops were conducted in an interactive manner, whereby the students engaged with Dr. Ravul Jindal, learning how to respond to injuries practically.
