Working to Improve Eye Health

July 21, 2022

Arshnoor Bhutani, a student of class 12  of our school, embodying the ethos and the vision of Strawberry Fields, has risen to meet a pressing societal need. She merits the recognition accorded to her on having blazed a trail, that is resultant of her compassionate and involved community spirit. The programme developed by Arshnoor helps to predict the severity of DR (Diabetic Retinopathy) and DME (Diabetic Macular Edema) through a quick analysis of retinal images for more accurate diagnosis. Her model has proven effective and is being used by Dr Neeraj Sandoja, a retinal surgeon of repute. This model, with its level of increased accuracy, can prove helpful in detecting these two diseases at an early stage so treatment can be started as soon as possible.
