A Triumph of Skill and Determination: Garvit Patel’s Dual Victory in Taekwondo and Chess Championships

In a celebration of talent and perseverance, we are thrilled to spotlight the remarkable achievements of Garvit Patel from UKG-B. Garvit’s journey of triumph unfolded across the realms of Taekwondo and Chess, leaving an indelible mark on the competitive arenas.

Taekwondo Championship 2024: A Showcase of Prowess The stage was set at the 4th Keshav Open Cash Prize Taekwondo Championship 2024, hosted at the Indoor Stadium, Sector 56, Chandigarh, on 10th and 11th February 2024. Garvit’s exceptional performance in the Individual Poomsae Event earned him the prestigious Gold Medal, securing the 1st position. Undeterred, Garvit added to his accolades by securing the 2nd position in both the Kyorugi and Board Breaking Events, earning Silver Medals. Not stopping there, he clinched the 3rd position in the Speed Kicking Event, garnering a Bronze Medal.

Chess Championships: A Strategic Maestro Transitioning seamlessly from the intensity of Taekwondo to the mental fortitude of chess, Garvit continued his winning streak. At the Panchkula Open Chess Championship 2024, held at British School, Sector 8, Panchkula, on 11th February 2024, he scored an impressive 3 points out of 4, securing the 5th position in the highly competitive Under-9 Open category. His strategic brilliance was rewarded with a medal and a cash prize of Rs. 500.

Garvit’s journey through the chessboard continued earlier in the SCA Open Cash Prize Chess Championship 2024 at The Millennium School, Mohali, on 28th January 2024. Here, he displayed unmatched prowess, securing the 1st position in the Under-7 Boy category.
