Admission to KG

Admission criteria

  1. Admission to KG at Sector 26, Chandigarh campus is subject to there being a vacancy.
  2. You may however, apply to our New Chandigarh campus for admission.

Eligibility for the 2025-26 session

Children born between April 01, 2019 and March 31, 2020 will be eligible for the session 2025-26.

Total number of seats: 160

General Category

Our admission process is simple and transparent, in accordance with the government guidelines. While we would like to accommodate all applicants, we are constrained by our class size. Students are selected through a draw of lots. However, preference is given to the following:

  • Children whose siblings are studying at Strawberry Fields High School or Strawberry Fields Play School, Sector 24, Chandigarh.
  • Students studying in Lower KG at Strawberry Fields Play School, Sector 24, Chandigarh.

Procedure

Registration Form for admission can be filled from our website from December 07, 2024 onwards. The form duly filled, must be submitted online between December 07, 2024 and December 20, 2024. Documents required to be submitted are detailed on the registration form. 

Once seats are filled using the above admission criteria, a draw of lots, if necessary, will be held for the General Category at 3:30 PM on January 18, 2025 at the School’s amphitheatre (Natyashala) in the presence of our Admission Committee to fill the remaining seats. Parents are welcome to attend the draw of lots. 

List of children who have been granted admission for KG along with the waiting list will be displayed on the school noticeboard on February 01, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Admission fee for the General Category must be deposited in the school office, between February 03 and February 14, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Admission fee (Non-refundable): 1,42,500.00

Tuition fee (per annum): 2,02,900.00

EWS Category

Admission for the EWS category will be conducted by the Chandigarh administration.

Admission to classes 1 to 8

Admission criteria

  1. Admission to classes 1 to 4 are currently closed. However, you may apply to our New Chandigarh campus. SFHS, New Chandigarh, will commence with Play Class to Grade 4, adding a class each year progressively until Grade 12.
  2. Admissions to classes 5 to 8 are subject to there being a vacancy.

Procedure

Fees for 2025-26 (Amount in INR)

Admission fee (Non-refundable): 1,42,500.00

Tuition fee (per annum):                   

  • Classes 1 – 5: 2,02,900.00
  • Classes 6 – 8 (ICSE): 1,95,100.00
  • Classes 6 (Cambridge Lower Secondary): 2,07,900.00

Admission to class 9 

Admission to Class 9 is subject to there being a vacancy and the student qualifying in the entrance test and interaction. The final selection will be on the basis of the applicant’s overall performance.

Admission to class 11

Admission to Class 11 is subject to there being a vacancy and the student qualifying in the entrance test and interaction. The final selection will be on the basis of the applicant’s overall performance.

Admission to IBDP Year 1 (Grade 11)

  • Admission is subject to there being a vacancy.
  • Candidate should have completed 10 years of education from a recognised school.
  • Candidate should have passed or should have written / be writing the Class 10 Board Examination / internal school examination.
  • Admission is provisional and is subject to a candidate’s Class 10 Board Examination result / internal school examination result / previous academic track record.
  • Admission is not guaranteed until the aforementioned conditions are met.
  • School will advise candidates regarding their subject and level selection based on the placement test results conducted at the time of admission.
  • The final selection will be on the basis of the applicant’s overall performance.
