January 27, 2024

Raiza Dhillon, an alumna of Strawberry Fields High School has confirmed her berth for the 2024 Olympics in Paris after she won the Silver in the Women’s Skeet Final at the Asia Olympic Qualification Shotgun tournament in Kuwait earlier this month.

Coming from a family of avid shooters, Raiza has shown great promise from the time she began her training at the age of 12. She did her training under the able guidance of Punjab’s ace shooter, Amarinder Cheema and the Italian Olympian, Ennio Falco.

The top ranked junior shooter came into the limelight when she won several medals at the 2023 Asian Shooting Championship at Changwon in Korea and claimed the 17th position in the ISSF World Championship at Cypress.

As the Olympics get closer, we will be watching Raiza with bated breath – to see her achieve greatness in this demanding and nuanced sport. Our best wishes for her success at the games and all future challenges.
