Students from grades 9 and 10 enthralled the audience with power packed performances from their chosen pieces. We were transfixed as Grade 11 brought the movies to us in a novel way, through dramatic dialogues from films. Spanning a wide lens across decades, the viewers were treated to Churchill’s memorable speech in, The Darkest Hour, Nicole Kidman’s burst of emotions in, Stoker, Gregory Peck, playing Atticus Finch in, To Kill a Mockingbird, Michael Clark Duncan and Tim Hanks, as John Coffey and  and Paul Edgecomb in The Green Mile,  Bill Pullman’s portrayal of President Whitmore in, Independence Day.

Grade 12 pushed the boundaries with their self-authored pieces addressed to persuade and convince, touching upon stimulating debates such as the impact of Cartoons on our lives and how they serve to teach valuable lessons, how Music is the essence of life and along with lyrics enriches our existence. The burning issue of Women Harassment and the need for actual reform, and the fact that the doomsday call has been sounded on Global Warming and imminent devastation awaits, were the subjects taken up by the students.

A special performance by Vijayant Chaudhry on the invincibility and resurgence of Arthur Conan Doyle’s, Sherlock Holmes received a standing ovation by the audience.
