Yet Another Basketball Victory

The Strawberry Fields High School Basketball Girls team participated in the 15th Shanta H Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament 2019 held at New Public School, Sector 18, Chandigarh from 7 to 9 December 2019.
The U-18 Girls team, Mahira Sood, Nikhita Krishan, Ameera Boparai, Kismattdeep Kaur Dosanjh, Deveshi Verma, Tanya Gupta, Mandira Datta, Ananya Jain, Gurnoor Bedi, Ananya Kapoor, Anam Bhangoo and Hazel Garg played brilliantly and were appreciated by all the other participating teams.
The tournament began on 7 December 2019. The 1st match of the day was played against the team from Chakwal, Kurali which the girls won 38-33.
The 2nd match was played against the team from Creane Memorial High School, Gaya. Our team won by a score of 38-14.
The next day, 8 December 2019, saw another 2 matches which were played against the teams from Carmel Convent, Chandigarh and Learning Path School. The SFHS team won both matches and the recorded score was 58-40 and 52-36 respectively.
The final match was played on 9 December 2019 against the team from Vivek High School, Chandigarh. The final recorded score was 31-20. The team from SFHS were declared the winners of the tournament and they brought home the Running Trophy as well as a cash prize of Rs.15100/-
